WHAT IS ESKETAMINE?

Esketamine is an FDA-approved medication for its rapid and effective relief of treatment-resistant depression and other mood disorders. Derived from ketamine, esketamine is administered via nasal spray, making it convenient and non-invasive. It shows promising results in helping those who have not responded to traditional antidepressants.

Is Spravato® Right For You?

If you have been struggling with persistent depressive symptoms despite trying various treatments, esketamine or Spravato® nasal spray may be a viable option for you. Our dedicated team of mental health professionals will conduct a thorough evaluation to determine if esketamine aligns with your unique needs and treatment goals.

Esketamine nasal spray is FDA-approved for people with depression who have not experienced improvement after trying at least two different medications. You must currently be taking an antidepressant in order to receive esketamine and you should not take the nasal spray if you have uncontrolled hypertension, a history of strokes or brain bleeds, or abnormal blood vessels at risk of bleeding.

Eskatamine works by isolating the effective part of ketamine. It removes the sedating part which is not believed to be useful for treating depression. Esketamine is a psychedelic-like treatment for depression. Therefore, you may feel dizzy, euphoric, or intoxicated during treatment. Throughout your treatment, our team will be on-site to assist you.

After treatment, you may experience grogginess and dizziness, so avoiding hazardous activities, including driving, is important. Arrange for someone to accompany you and drive you home after your session. We also recommend scheduling treatments in the afternoon so you can return home, have dinner, and go to sleep. By morning, most people can resume daily activities.

If you’ve struggled with treatment-resistant depression (TRD), undergoing esketamine treatment can transform your life.

Relief can happen rapidly.

Esketamine nasal spray acts rapidly by enhancing NMDA receptors in the brain, promoting neurotransmitter release and synaptic connections. This mechanism swiftly adjusts neural communication, making it effective for treatment-resistant conditions.

Nasal administration ensures quick absorption and distribution, providing prompt relief to individuals in need.

  • How long it takes and what to expect?

Esketamine nasal spray treatment typically requires 24-26 sessions divided into four phases:
